“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
How do we creatively respond to God’s heart for justice? What does that look like? Specifically, in your community, with your gifts and talents…what does the Lord require?
Hope for Chicago fills a space that often exists between awareness and action. Our passion is to help you and your community engage holistically in daily, practical responses to God’s call for lives of love and justice from His people as a core part of our discipleship in Christ.
We believe that the local church is God’s chosen agent for change and that each one of you have been uniquely placed, uniquely prepared, uniquely equipped, and uniquely empowered for such a time as this. Ours is an ongoing journey to understand what God requires of us, help one another identify the work God has prepared in advance for us to do, and creatively respond to God’s heart for justice.
We are all in this together! Let’s begin…
“… And what does the Lord require of you but to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
